Formal Parish Membership
Through Baptism we are called to be Disciples - Followers of Jesus. Our response to this call is a commitment to a way of life. Guided by the spirit and the documents of the Second Vatican Council, the members of St. Paul the Apostle Church are a community of disciples in which each individual has the personal responsibility to live and share the message of the Gospels. In our parish the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist is at the center of our lives. Our growth in our personal relationship with Jesus, our experience of Christ present in others, and our sharing of our gifts and talents in the service of others is integral to our community.
Our registration process includes:
1) Attending a designated Mass on a Sunday known as Welcome Sunday.
2) Before the final blessing those discerning about becoming part of our parish family are called forth for a special blessing and then led by members of our Welcome Committee to an orientation session.
3) At the end of the session those attending are invited to formally become a part of our parish and to enter a covenantal relationship with us.
Alternate arrangements can be made for those not able to attend a Welcome Sunday orientation session.
